FUNK NOIR RECORDS Jacques C/When You Are Gone
Music video, record cover (2008).

The WYAG video single was put out by label Funk Noir on May 13th 2008. It was released at the opening of the master degree exhibition at Konstfack university collage of arts and design in Stockholm, Sweden. This is not that strange since it was my master degree project at the very same school.

The idea was to make a musical record that benefits from being physical in form. That is more than something you just download. My solution to this was to connect the records cover to its content by letting them tell diffrent parts of the same story. The story turned out to be a small relationship drama between man and machine. In the end it became a dvd-single with the video and a 32 page photobased booklet packed in a cardboard box. The tray holding the disc was glued to the front of the booklet, letting the record itself function as a cover.

Below is part of a review of the spring exhibition, only in swedish though:
Anders Olofsson, Konsten.net
